The Project

We give scholarships to poor, gifted students in Nepal in order to allow them to
attend one of Nepal's best s
chools.

For the selection of the students we utilize the school's existing selection system. The standardized tests and interviews are carried out in 75 counties all over Nepal, in order to reach even the poorest and most remote areas of the country.

We expect the holders of our scholarships to show their own sozial engagement by coming up with their own little project in their hometowns. This way, the children learn early on to use their talents for the benefit of the society.

The members of our organization are in regular contact with the students in order to support
their personal development.

Beyond the assistance through scholarships, we organize information events to inform about problems in the third world and particularly in Nepal.

Tuition fees are currently at around 70€ per month per child. This includes all expenses that occur, including food, housing, study materials, classes, and so on. The families will not need to carry any expenses, which is usually the main problem why children cannot get an education.

With your help, we can help even more children to take their first steps into a brighter future.

Experience show that longterm help makes a difference to children's lives

We all know that education is the best preparation for a successful future. Here we have some examples of Nepalese students who got stipends similar to the one we would like to offer. They have made their way and now are giving back to Nepal in one way or the other.

Bhawana

Bhawana is from the rural south of Nepal. As the middle child of 5, she had the opportunity to go to a boarding school in Kathmandu at the age of 9 through a merit based stipend from the government. Also Bhawana got a stipend from Pestalozzi to get the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma at the end of her school years. After this she moved to Bremen to study Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the Jacobs University Bremen. This was made possible through a generous scholarship from the university. Today, Bhawana works on her PhD at the Imperial College London and she  carries out research in order to find new ways to treat heart attack patients using stem cell therapy. Bhawana knows the many problems that exist in Nepal and because of that she has been socially active throughout her life. In England she was an executive committee member of 1066 Rotaract  organization and she is now a founding member and member of board of the "Begabtenförderung Nepal e.V.".
